Road to the Moon — Part 5
Alright, the V2 of Moon is now live !
What has been implemented:
- Introduce a list and a map view of events
- Introduce a mobile-specific design with a bottom-nav-bar
- Improve the classification of events via GPT
- Introduce the filtering of events according to time and event type
- Fix many bugs
Now we need to think about technical and business steps, the main focus being business now that we have a MVP. Business-wise, we need to:
- Start the communication strategy on Insta, Tiktok and youtube via generating shorts and videos of events.
- Talk with event organizers to know if they’d be ready to put their event on Moon. Maybe I should start with event organizers on EventBrite (I can add the link to the EventBrite event), Meetup or other alternatives.
Technically speaking, I think we can:
- Add a link to the event to guide to the reservation or the official link.
- Add the thumbnail of the event.
- Add GA on more events (going to the map page, who’s on mobile vs who’s on laptop, …).
- Improve again the filtering and the classification of events.
It’s mostly nits though. The focus should be on the business side. Besides, now that there’s real value in using Moon, we should begin testing the BM end to end. My focus there would be to gather the more insta follower I can so my audience is a good argument for convincing event organizers to go with me.
How would I know how many users went to an event they saw on Moon ? I think I can add a “Interested” button but the feature is limited since I don’t retain any user information 🤔
So the goals for next week are:
- Talking face to face to at least one event organizer (like the Montparnass Theater for instance)
- Create one short from pictures/events I’ve been to
